Masayoshi Son

After the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Mr. Son donated 10 billion yen to the relief effort, and said he would donate his salary from SoftBank until his retirement.  He would like to get rid of nuclear energy by replacing it with renewable energy, solar, wind and geothermal, and believes that energy policy should be the responsibility of local governments rather than that of a central administration, which will encourage private initiatives.  He is of the opinion that this will also help the northeastern part of Japan recover from the disaster.
